Active Ingredient:
Folic acid, 5.0 mg folic acid per tablet.
Composition:
1 tablet contains 5.0 mg folic acid.
Other Ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, talc, cellulose powder, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients. The increase in reticulocytes caused by folic acid may mask vitamin B12 deficiency.
Because of the risk of irreversible neurological disorders, it must be ensured that megaloblastic anemia is not due to vitamin B12 deficiency before therapy.
Side Effects:
In isolated cases anaphylactic reactions, e.g. as erythema, pruritus, bronchospasm, nausea or anaphylactic shock. At very high doses rarely gastrointestinal disturbances, sleep disturbances, agitation or depression.
Dosage Form:
50 tablets (N2).
Folsäure - Increased folic acid requirement before and during pregnancy.
