Indication

Proven selenium deficiency that cannot be corrected nutritionally. Selenium deficiency may occur in maldigestion and malabsorption states as well as in malnutrition and nutritional deficiency (e.g. total parenteral nutrition).

Active Ingredient

Sodium selenite pentahydrate.
50 μg selenium in 1 ml injection solution.

Composition

1 ml solution containing 0.167 mg of sodium selenite pentahydrate, equivalent to 50 μg (micrograms) of selenium.

Other Ingredients

Sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, water for injection.

Side Effects

Not known so far when used as directed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to sodium selenite pentahydrate or any of the other ingredients.
Selenium intoxications.

Original pack with 10 ampoules
of 1 ml injection solution (N2).

Original pack with 50 ampoules
of 1 ml injection solution.
